Elizabeth Gaskell House

Client – Manchester Historic Building Trust

Location – Manchester

The Grade II listed building was built in 1835 and was occupied by the prolific author Elizabeth Gaskell during the peak of her career.  The project was to carry out structural repairs to the building, and to store the house to the condition and layout as it was at the time of Elizabeth’s occupation.  KGA’s involvement was the preparation of design drawings and specifications to all mechanical and electrical services, with consideration to period appropriate lighting and radiators.
